In
1964, the Rotten Row building received a Royal Institute of British
Architects (RIBA) Bronze Medal Award for “the best deserving of such
recognition among the buildings
completed during the fifteen years ended November 1964”. This is the
only building in Zimbabwe ever to have received such recognition.
